Economic Atlas Data Discussion
The Texas Economic Atlas draws data for 418 economic indicators from various sources for 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2018 or for years close to these dates. Animating the geospatial data through time is one of the important features of the atlas. Because the data are discrete samples in time, users should know that interpolations between data points in the Graph panel displays are not accurate, and the lines produced show direction only.
Data errors may exist in the Texas Economic Atlas maps. Errors may have occurred during the sampling, reporting, and manipulating for each of the economic indicators. We have worked assiduously to keep data acquisition, spreadsheet management, and mapping errors as few as possible.
